Axifer 5ml Injection is used to treat the symptoms of iron deficiency and iron-deficiency anaemia. Injections are recommended in emergency situations.

How effective is Axifer 5ml?

This Injection is composed of Iron Sucrose as an active ingredient and belongs to the supplements class of drugs. It works by increasing the iron absorption and availability in the body for use in red blood cells, haemoglobin and transport of oxygen to the body.

What dose should I choose?

For adults (above 18), 100 mg per day Axifer 5ml injection or according to the patient’s reaction and clinical circumstances, or as directed by the doctor. Maximum 300 mg can be taken in a day. It can be taken 1-3 times a week. The actual dose depends on the current Hb level and targeted Hb level of the patient.

For children (below 17), This injection is not recommended as its safety and efficacy is not yet established.
