Viglip-M 50/850mg Tablet is used for diabetes type 2. It contains two drugs that are Vildagliptin and Metformin HCl, which are both ant diabetic medicines. The first active ingredient of Viglip-M 50/850mg, Vildagliptin, is a DPP-4 inhibitor drug that works by blocking the breakdown of a hormone known as incretin in the body. The mechanism of action Vildagliptin follows is of binding to a certain site of DPP-4. The second component of Viglip-M 50/850mg, metformin, is a biguanides family drug and works by reducing the amount of sugar made in the liver. This reduction of sugar production leads to a reduced blood sugar level.
